If you are not particularly computer literate, we can help choose a domain name for your web site, register it for you, design the actual web site, host it, and provide you with both ordinary mail accounts and web mail so that online contact forms (should you require any) do not burden your inbox with spam or viruses and you can access your mail anywhere in the world.
If you prefer to have more direct control, we can provide you with an online control panel so that you can adjust settings yourself, monitor results and so on. We can also make it possible for you to update the site with a regular newsletter, blog or what you will. Alternatively, we can handle changes and amendments for you. We use industry-standard software to create your site: Dreamweaver, GoLive and RapidWeaver are our software of preference for construction; Photoshop and Illustrator for image-processing and graphic design; iMovie for video (with special video compression software in addition); and a range of professional audio equipment and software to ensure the very best results for podcasts or voiceovers.
One of the things we pride ourselves on is the fact that our web sites are well-coded. ▪ design of a web site with five pages, including online contact form + site map (very useful to search engines), hosting for one year on our own server + web mail service: in the region of £350 to £450, depending on complexity. This fee includes basic photographic work on your behalf (video is an option, also a short podcast or voiceover). You’ll be able to assess your site before it goes live because we host drafts on a special private section of our web site.
▪ Annual hosting fee after the first year averages £50, including email. No restrictions on bandwith. Full scripting support. Our servers are Linux based which makes MYSQL databases and security much more sure than on Windows based servers.

If you prefer to register your own domain name and arrange hosting with another company, we make a small charge in respect of administering your site.
Domain name registration and hosting fees are payable in advance; web site design fees on completion; any maintenance charges (e.g. for amendments or additions) either as they occur or, if you foresee many regular changes, on a monthly or quarterly basis.
